Something that happened in the news

Keemonta Peterson, 29 was accused of attempting to circumcise her baby at home with a box cutter and a pair of pliers. She told the police that she got the idea of home circumcision from reading the Bible, and that it looked very safe on YouTube. The baby boy suffered two hours of uncontrolled bleeding. She called 911, and he was rushed to the hospital where he was listed in critical condition. So my opinion on this story is that the mother is probably not all upstairs, or maybe she's not capable of taking care of a child. She should have gone to the doctor's and asked a professional to do the operation.

My favorite item I like to wear

My favorite item that I love wearing is the charm that my boyfriend gave me for our second month of being together. It is a Insane Clown Posse charm. I am always wearing it, and I haven't taken it off since he gave it to me. Insane Clown Posse is a music group. They have lots of music records, and are really popular with things called hatchet gear. People like to wear the hatchet gear to support their music. Also they like wearing it because it makes them feel like a family. People always mistake juggalos for bad people, and they think that juggalos are gang members which really they're not. They are really awesome people.

Helping a friend in danger

It would have to depend on the situation. If my friend was in danger and needed someone's help I'd probably be there to help them. If I had to save a stranger I would probably help them out the best I could, but I really wouldn't put my life on the line for them. I wouldn't want to be that mean to a person, but I don't know the person or anything about them.

People being treated badly

I think it is very wrong for people to treat other people unfairly. The people in our community are always treated unfair. They sometimes get discriminated, or judged by the way they act. If you think someone is not normal by judging them, and not getting to know them you are acting like a jerk.

Compare and Contrast

John is studying to be a minister and a doctor. He is a very smart man, and he is interested in Mercy. John is somewhat shy towards people, and he is a very kind caring person. He mentioned to Kit that he doesn't want a wife to do everything for him. That's why he wants to marry Mercy so she wouldn't have to do everything for him.
William is very straight forward and blunt about things. At first when he met Kit he seemed like he was socially awkward, and would wait for Kit to talk to him. He is a very rich and powerful man. He is involved in politics, and has everything going for him.
The similarities that they share are they both go to church, they visit Kit's house quite often, and they both have goals of getting married.

Mercy's Character!!!!

Mercy is the cousin that has a disability, and really can't use her leg anymore. Mercy and Judith have the same interest in John Holbrook. Mercy is sometimes quiet and keeps to herself most of the time. She helps her mom with the sewing, and knitting because she can't help her dad with the farm work.

Judith's Character

Judith is somewhat sociable, and is excited about the husking bee. At first Judith liked Kit, but then William Ashby told Kit's family that he liked Kit, and Judith got jealous. Then Judith started liking John Holbrook, and decided that she was going to marry him. She is also a hardworking girl, and helps her family out with the things that need to be done around their house.
